Dishearten

In today's fast-paced world, it can be disheartening when we don't feel heard or valued in conversations. It's frustrating when people cut us off and show little interest in what we have to say.

I often find myself being interrupted when I try to share my thoughts or interests with others. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to fully express myself because they don't seem genuinely interested. It can be disheartening and disrespectful. However, when it's their turn to speak, I give them my undivided attention and let them finish because I genuinely care. It seems like I don't receive the same level of consideration in return.

I have never felt truly valued or chosen in any situation, and it's quite hurtful and disrespectful. But I often wonder, what can I do? After all, who am I to demand such respect?

But I realized that feeling chosen and respected in conversations is not just about having our turn to speak, but also about being truly listened to and understood. It's about creating a space where everyone's ideas and perspectives are valued. Unfortunately, not everyone may possess the same level of consideration or empathy when it comes to communication.

However, it's important to remember that our voice matters. We have valuable insights and experiences to contribute to any conversation. Surrounding ourselves with people who appreciate and respect our thoughts is essential for personal growth and fulfillment.

While it may not be easy to change others' behavior, we can take steps to assert yourself and make your voice heard.

Remember, you are not defined by others' actions or opinions. Your worth and value come from within.
